One – new release from Måns Zelmerlöw

Måns Zelmerlöw release “One”

Måns Zelmerlöw, who many of us know from Eurovision 2015, others also from Idol 2005, released a new single named, “One”, along with music video on November 21st, only one month after the release of his new album, “Time”, on October 18th.

The lyrics to “One” are about a couple who seems to be fighting a lot and people around them assume they will break up, but the couple hopes they are the exception and survive and go on as a couple.

Helene Wigren from PR & Beyond has kindly sent me the lyrics for “One”, so now you can sing along with the correct words. Have fun :o)

Personally the combination of song, music, instruments and lyrics, brings my little hairs to rise – but those who know me, know I’m a sucker for electronic pop-rock spiced up with a lot of cool instruments, and “One” does certainly not disappoint when it comes to that. Its right down my alley.

So congratulations to Måns for yet another brilliant release.

One

You’re saying that we fight too much
Don’t make any sense
Been telling your friends
And they don’t ever fight like us
They just playing pretend
And making amends
They’re saying we don’t try enough
That you gotta give in
To win anything
They’re saying that we might break up
Cos we fight too much

Why’re you listening to what they have to say
Like there’s no exception to the rules we
never made

All I know’s if one burst
Break us down to two hurting
In just a few words
I’m still here for you
If it’s working for us
Going through a few turns
Til it’s just the two of us
Starting from new
Then maybe we’re the one

We could be the one the one exception
We could be the one the one exception
To all the other ones who never guessed we’re
The one the one the one

Cause baby I believe in us
We can battle the wind
We’ll come back again
Cause no one knows a storm like us
Baby I believe in us

Why’re you listening to what they have to say
Like there’s no exception to the rules we
never made
